Today is the official first day of the 2020 Floret Online Workshop!
All of us here at Floret are so excited for you to dig into the workshop. To help you have a smooth start to the course, please pay careful attention to the following instructions:
HOW TO ACCESS THE WORKSHOP
Please log in with the email you used to register for the workshop. If you cannot remember your password, simply hit "Forgot Password" and the system will send you an email to reset it. For the best user experience, we recommend that you use Google Chrome as your internet browser.
You can also access the workshop content and learning community via a mobile app. Learn more about the mobile app.
Step 2: Click on the Floret Online Workshop.
This will take you inside the course, where you will see the six modules in the Floret Online Workshop. We will release one module every Friday for the next six weeks; this week, you can only view content in Module 1. Sorry, but we are unable to release any workshop modules early.
Step 3: Click on MODULE 1: GETTING CLEAR.
Inside Module 1 you will see videos grouped into sections. Be sure to watch the videos in the “Introduction” section first. You can view the other videos within Module 1 at your own pace and whenever it is convenient for you. Don’t stress if
you can't watch all the videos this week because you have lifetime access to the course.
PDF DOWNLOADS
At the bottom of the module is a "Downloads" section that includes PDF documents that you can download and print. Please note: this information is already included in your course book and not all pages of the 2020 Course Book are available as PDFs. We included digital versions of select pages that are useful to print and use year after year. The "2020 Course Book Updates for Alumni" is for our past students to access the new and updated course book information.
Q&A SESSIONS
Each week of the workshop you’ll have an opportunity to submit a question for our weekly Q&A Session. Questions should relate to the topics being covered in the current module. Questions unique to your farm or specific microclimate are not likely to be answered in the video because we want the Q&A Sessions to benefit as many participants as possible.
The deadline to submit questions for Module 1 is Wednesday, January 15th, at 10 a.m. PST. To submit a question, simply go to the Q&A Submissions tab in the upper right hand corner of the workshop home page. The first Q&A Session video will be available when we release Module 2 next Friday.
FLORET LEARNING COMMUNITY
Many of you have already started to connect with others in the Floret Learning Community. We love reading the introductions and seeing the networking and information sharing that is already taking place. We have an all-star lineup of experienced farmer-florists joining the group to help answer your questions during the 6-week workshop. We've also invited past students to join in the learning community to add to our conversations.
